GRAVES was formed in 2001, Musician/Songwriter DR.CHUD, had a vision to put together a band that's sound would transcend all time and space, it was an idea that he would see thru every step of the way.
His first choice would be a singer, he was very familiar with, Michale Graves, a longtime friend and band mate from the previous project call The Misfits.
With Dr.Chud supplying the heavily additive rhythms on drums his next choice was to lock down the rhythm section with a solid unbelievable bass player named Graham Westfield. Dr.Chud met Graham in Austria the previous year and when they realized how close they lived and how much they had in common together, they stayed in touch. A year later Graham got the call from the good doctor to join the new band.
The final surgery had to deal with finding the perfect guitarist. Dr.Chud had set up many auditions to find the perfect individual to fill the spot and ultimately had chose Tom Logan who also lived in Northern New Jersey. Tom had the ability to do anything and fit in well with everyone. He was a musicians musician and it was what the band needed. the vision of the band was complete. Dr.Chud leads this band of corpses into the 21st century with unpresidented hunger and fury siezing a sound that would later be copied and duplicated but never captured. The band is called "GRAVES".
In one year the band toured the U.S. twice, recorded a 5 song DEMO and released there only official CD titled "WEB of DHARMA". There rabid fanbase grew rapidly and needed a fan club, CHUD decided on using the name The GRAVE DIGGERS UNION which he almost picked as the band name first but decided on the shorter name of GRAVES. On the eve of there 2002 U.S. Halloween and Japan tour, singer mike graves quits leaving the remaining corpses to fend for themselves. Ultimetly in early 2003 Dr.Chud desides to open the doors to what he calls his final resting place...........DRCHUD'S X-WARD
